1. India’s first AI-powered bird sanctuary to be set up in Mumbai (Current Affairs 22 July 2026)

• मराठी: महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील मुंबई येथील ‘ठाणे खाडी फ्लेमिंगो अभयारण्या’चा दर्जा उंचावून ते देशातील पहिले ‘एआय-सक्षम’ (AI-powered) पक्षी अभयारण्य बनवले जाणार आहे. ‘भांडुप बर्ड पार्क’ नावाच्या या प्रकल्पाला प्रशासकीय मान्यता आणि जिल्हा नियोजन समितीच्या विशेष निधीतून ४५ कोटी रुपये प्राप्त झाले आहेत.
• English: The Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary in Mumbai, Maharashtra will be upgraded to become the country’s first AI-powered bird sanctuary. The project, called Bhandup Bird Park, has received administrative approval and ₹45 crore from the District Planning Committee.

5. First direct commercial freight train from Kolkata Port reaches Nepal (Current Affairs 22 July 2026)

• मराठी: कोलकाता बंदरातून निघालेली पहिली थेट व्यावसायिक मालवाहू रेल्वे २० जुलै २०२६ रोजी पूर्व नेपाळमधील विराटनगर येथील सीमाशुल्क आवारात पोहोचली. ‘CONCOR’ (कंटेनर कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया) द्वारे चालवल्या जाणाऱ्या या रेल्वेतून कॅनोला धान्याचे ४० फूट लांबीचे ४० कंटेनर्स नेपाळमध्ये नेण्यात आले.

7. AI model helps disprove Jacobian Conjecture (Current Affairs 22 July 2026)

• मराठी: १९३९ मध्ये जर्मन गणितज्ञ एडुआर्ड ऑट-हेनरिक केलर यांनी मांडलेली ‘जॅकोबियन अनुमान’ ही बीजगणितीय भूमितीतील सुप्रसिद्ध न सुटलेली समस्या होती. २० जुलै रोजी गणितज्ञ लेव्हेंट अल्पोगे यांनी जाहीर केले की, ‘क्लॉड फेबल ५’ (Claude Fable 5) या एआय मॉडेलने एक प्रतिउदाहरण शोधून हे अनुमान खोटे ठरवण्यास मदत केली आहे.
• English: The Jacobian Conjecture, an unsolved problem in algebraic geometry proposed in 1939, was disproved. On 20 July 2026, mathematician Levent Alpöge announced that the AI model Claude Fable 5 helped disprove the conjecture by finding a counterexample.

8. Kerala GCC Outlook 2026 aims for 2 lakh new jobs (Current Affairs 22 July 2026)
