1. Anurag Jain appointed as the new CEO of NITI Aayog (Current Affairs 23 July 2026)

• मराठी: केंद्र सरकारने अनुराग जैन यांची २२ जुलै २०२६ पासून दोन वर्षांच्या कालावधीसाठी नीती आयोगाचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आहे. मध्य प्रदेश केडरच्या (१९८९ बॅच) या IAS अधिकाऱ्याच्या नियुक्तीला मंत्रिमंडळाच्या नियुक्ती समितीने (ACC) मंजुरी दिली.
• English: Anurag Jain has been appointed by the Centre as the Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog for a period of two years with effect from 22 July 2026. The 1989 batch IAS officer’s appointment was cleared by the ACC.

2. 99.6% electrification of Indian Railways’ broad gauge network completed (Current Affairs 23 July 2026)

• मराठी: आंध्र प्रदेशने जमिनीच्या नोंदींच्या डिजिटल व्यवस्थापनासाठी २३ जुलै २०२६ रोजी ‘मी भूमी-ब्लॉकचेन’ (Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain) हा प्रायोगिक प्रकल्प सुरू केला आहे. ब्लॉकचेन तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून जमिनीविषयक माहितीसाठी ‘टॅम्पर-प्रूफ’ (छेडछाड-मुक्त) व्यासपीठ याद्वारे तयार केले जाईल.
• English: Andhra Pradesh launched a pilot project called Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain on July 23, 2026, for the digital management of land records using blockchain technology to build a tamper-proof platform.

5. President Murmu unveils Mahatma Gandhi’s bust in North Macedonia (Current Affairs 23 July 2026)

6. HAL signs major agreement with Safran Aircraft Engines (Current Affairs 23 July 2026)

• मराठी: हिंदुस्तान एरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (HAL) आणि सफ्रान एअरक्राफ्ट इंजिन्स यांनी २२ जुलै २०२६ रोजी ‘सीएफएम लीप’ इंजिन कार्यक्रमासाठी ‘सुपरअलॉय’पासून बनवलेल्या टर्बाइन रिंग फोर्जिंग्जच्या उत्पादनाबाबत दीर्घकालीन करारावर स्वाक्षरी केली आहे. याचे उत्पादन बेंगळुरू येथील HAL च्या सुविधेत केले जाईल.
• English: HAL and Safran Aircraft Engines signed a long-term agreement for the production and supply of turbine ring forgings in superalloys for the CFM LEAP engine programme, to be manufactured at HAL’s facility in Bengaluru.
