1. Delhi Cabinet approves Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील दिल्ली मंत्रिमंडळाने २९ जून २०२६ रोजी ‘दिल्ली इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन धोरण २०२६’ ला मंजुरी दिली. हे धोरण १ जुलै २०२६ ते ३१ मार्च २०३० पर्यंत लागू असेल आणि यात ई-मोबिलिटीसाठी सुमारे १५,००० कोटी रुपयांची गुंतवणूक अपेक्षित आहे.
• English: The Delhi Cabinet led by CM Rekha Gupta approved the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 on 29 June 2026. Valid from 1 July 2026 to 31 March 2030, the policy estimates an investment of around Rs 15,000 crore for electric mobility.

2. Ravi Agrawal reappointed as CBDT Chairman (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: १९८८ च्या तुकडीतील भारतीय महसूल सेवेचे (IRS) अधिकारी रवी अग्रवाल यांची ‘सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्ट टॅक्सेस’च्या (CBDT) अध्यक्षपदी फेरनियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. केंद्र सरकारने त्यांना १ जुलै २०२६ ते ३१ डिसेंबर २०२६ या कालावधीसाठी कंत्राटी तत्त्वावर मुदतवाढ दिली आहे.
• English: Ravi Agrawal, an IRS officer of the 1988-batch, has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). He has been given an extension on a contract basis for six months from 1st July 2026 to 31st December 2026.

3. Tiger reintroduction to resume in Satkosia Tiger Reserve (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: ३० जून २०२६ रोजी, ‘राष्ट्रीय वाघ संवर्धन प्राधिकरणा’ने (NTCA) ओडिशामधील सतकोसिया व्याघ्र प्रकल्पात वाघांचे पुनर्वसन पुन्हा सुरू करण्यास तत्त्वतः मंजुरी दिली. २०१८ मधील प्रयत्न अयशस्वी झाल्यानंतर जून २०२६ च्या मूल्यमापनात येथे एकही वाघ अस्तित्वात नव्हता.
• English: On 30 June 2026, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) gave in-principle approval to Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Odisha to resume tiger reintroduction after the 2018 attempt failed.

4. Integration of ‘ABC’ and ‘APAAR’ in Higher Education (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरण (NEP) २०२० अंतर्गत, ‘ॲकॅडमिक बँक ऑफ क्रेडिट्स’ (ABC) आणि ‘ऑटोमेटेड पर्मनंट ॲकॅडमिक अकाउंट रजिस्ट्री’ (APAAR) या प्रणाली भारताच्या उच्च शिक्षण प्रणालीशी जोडल्या जातील. APAAR हा ‘वन नेशन, वन स्टुडंट आयडी’ अंतर्गत दिला जाणारा १२-अंकी ओळख क्रमांक आहे.
• English: Under NEP 2020, two digital systems – Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR), a 12-digit student identity number, will be integrated with India’s higher education system.

5. 20th Statistics Day celebrated on 29 June (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: २९ जून २०२६ रोजी, सांख्यिकी आणि कार्यक्रम अंमलबजावणी मंत्रालयाने (MoSPI) २० वा ‘सांख्यिकी दिन’ साजरा केला. राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी प्रणालीमधील प्रा. पी. सी. महालनोबिस यांच्या अमूल्य योगदानाचा गौरव करण्यासाठी त्यांच्या १३३ व्या जयंतीनिमित्त हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला होता.
• English: On 29th June 2026, MoSPI celebrated the 20th Statistics Day. The event commemorated the 133rd Birth Anniversary of Prof. P. C. Mahalanobis in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the national statistical system.

6. White-rumped vulture on IUCN’s Critically Endangered list (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: पांढऱ्या पार्श्वभागाचे गिधाड (White-rumped vulture) हा IUCN च्या लाल यादीतील अत्यंत संकटग्रस्त (Critically Endangered) मृतभक्षी पक्षी आहे. दक्षिण आणि आग्नेय आशियात आढळणाऱ्या या पक्ष्याच्या संवर्धनासाठी बंदिस्त प्रजनन आणि विषबाधा नियंत्रणासारखे उपाय केले जात आहेत.
• English: The white-rumped vulture is a Critically Endangered scavenger bird on the IUCN Red List found in South and South-East Asia. Conservation efforts include poisoning control, captive breeding, and carcass management.

7. ‘K9 Vajra-T’ boosts India-South Korea defence cooperation (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: ‘के-९ वज्र-टी’ या स्वयंचलित तोफ प्रणालीच्या कार्यक्रमाने भारत आणि दक्षिण कोरिया यांच्यातील संरक्षण सहकार्य अधिक व्यापक केले आहे. ही दक्षिण कोरियाच्या ‘के-९ थंडर’ (K9 Thunder) या १५५ मिमीच्या ट्रॅक्ड तोफेची भारतीय आवृत्ती आहे.
• English: The K9 Vajra-T self-propelled howitzer programme has broadened defence cooperation between India and South Korea. It is the Indian version of the K9 Thunder 155 mm self-propelled tracked artillery gun of South Korea.

8. Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan (RGVS 2026) concludes in New Delhi (Current Affairs 1 July 2026)

• मराठी: नवी दिल्ली येथे आयोजित दोन दिवसीय ‘राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण विकास संमेलन २०२६’ ची २९ जून रोजी सांगता झाली. केंद्रीय मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली झालेल्या या संमेलनात २९ राज्ये आणि केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांचे मंत्री आणि धोरणकर्ते सहभागी झाले होते.
• English: The two-day Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan (RGVS) 2026 concluded in New Delhi on 29 June. Chaired by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the conclave brought together policymakers and officials from 29 States and UTs.
